Chef Will Meyrick brings the vibrant flavours of Vietnam to Mama San with a new lunch menu inspired by the country’s streets, kitchens and culinary traditions.

From fragrant phở and crisp bánh mì to smoky beef and pork lá lốt and the bittersweet intensity of Vietnamese coffee, each dish is reimagined with Mama San’s signature sophistication.

Coconut Coffee, Bali Beans brewed the Vietnamese Way

A new menu of Bali beans brewed the Vietnamese way. Phin drip, egg coffee, orange and coconut, all served through the afternoon. Daily, 12pm to 5pm

Vietnamese Coffees

Vietnam takes its coffee seriously, and so do we. Our new coffee menu is built on Bali beans, Kintamani arabica and local robusta, brewed the Vietnamese way.

Start with the phin, the slow drip that takes its time over condensed milk. Or go straight for the egg coffee, whipped yolk and mung bean over dark robusta, dusted with cinnamon. It drinks like dessert.

For something brighter, we pour arabica over fresh orange juice, or over coconut water straight from the husk.

Questions we are often asked

Who is behind Mama San?

Mama San is the modern Southeast Asian restaurant and lounge by chef Will Meyrick at Jalan Raya Kerobokan No.135, Seminyak, Bali. It has been a Seminyak institution for more than fifteen years.

What is the Mama San Lounge?

The Lounge is upstairs: an original speakeasy in the spirit of 1920s Shanghai, with plush banquettes, low light, a cocktail list and DJs spinning vinyl into the late evening. It is open nightly.

Do I need to book for events?

Evenings fill quickly, so book ahead. You can book a table online or send a WhatsApp message to +62 818 0612 6700. Walk-ins are welcome if a table is free.

Does Mama San have set menus?

Yes. The current set menus, Feed Me included, are listed on this page while they run. Set menus for groups are on the Group Dining page.

Can I host my own event at Mama San?

Yes. Groups of 10 to 30 book through Group Dining, and parties of more than 30 can take the whole venue, up to 130 guests across two floors (100 in the dining room downstairs, 30 in the Lounge upstairs), through Private Events.

Is Mama San open every day?

Yes. Lunch runs from noon to 5pm and dinner from 5.30pm to 10.30pm, seven days a week. The Lounge is open nightly upstairs.
